Signs of hope

Where do you see signs of hope in the world today? Amidst the obvious darkness of world events and a slipping economy, where do you see hope? I saw it Monday at Luther Seminary, interviewing a new generation of Church leaders. What about you?

  1. I see hope in newborn babies and couples in love.

I see hope in friends gathering in a home, instead of dining at an expensive restaurant, to create a one-couple-cooks-one-course dinners, to ensure that temporarily out-of-work friends know their friends care more about them than their money.

I see hope in how God cares for little dogs, healing my paralyzed dog and hearing our prayers to bring my brother's lost dog safely home. Imagine how much he loves us people if he takes such care for wayward and injured puppies.

I see hope in University programs that stress volunteer work as part of their curriculum, helping young adults learn from the get go that all our skills are needed to make the world a better place.
