I recently got to see a wedding from the other end of the aisle—as a proud Dad walking his oldest daughter down it. I now know why people take so many photos at weddings—the day becomes a blur of wonderful activity. Without the pictures I could wonder if I was really there, and if a wedding took place. I have a new appreciation for those guys bringing daughters down the aisle!
This week's question: Dads, Moms, what was your experience at your children’s weddings? Did some of it seem surreal at the time? Add your comments below.

As with my own wedding, I had no clue what I was in for. My older son wed first with his younger sister in the wedding party. When daughter's turn came wife and I were much more involved but daughter ran the show. I ran and fetched and stood where I was told. Both were joyful experiences but it is the aftermath I find absolutely amazing. My world has expanded with the growth of family connections, in-laws that have become friends and pretty quickly four grandchildren. I thank God every day for the blessings my children's marriages have provided, not only for them but for grandma and grandpa.
